We specialise in the installation of both permanent and temporary modular portable buildings, mining camps, non-process infrastructure, operational facilities and the development of long-term housing.
Our highly qualified, licensed personnel offer all- encompassing construction project management services and are capable of taking on challenging projects of various sizes and in various locations. Our team is made up of project managers, contract administrators, infrastructure designers, construction supervisors, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, plant operators and concrete workers.
Our goal is to revolutionise the mining industry by transforming your quality of life on site. We want to ensure that mining communities are equipped with all the modern amenities and facilities required for comfort and wellbeing. We have a solid understanding of the specific needs of remote villages, and the importance of finding a balance when facilitating privacy and social interaction.
The management team behind grounded
In 2013, Paul recognised an opportunity for remote construction within the ever-growing mining and resources sector in Western Australia. After coming up with the idea while having a beer with friends, Paul set out to build a team of experienced personnel and tradesman to turn his dream into a reality. Since then, Paul has had the opportunity to work and develop long-standing relationships with many up-and-coming mining companies along with some of the major players in the industry.

Dirk is a strategic leader and project management professional with 20+ years of experience within the project management, engineering and construction industry, specialised in managing and delivering complex large-scale projects and portfolios in senior and executive roles across Australia, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Known for his operational expertise and ability to mobilise multidisciplinary teams across diverse geographies, Dirk consistently delivers projects safely, on time, and on budget while fostering strong stakeholder and client relationships.

As our Chief Financial Officer, Julian leads our Finance, HR, Asset Management, Risk & Compliance and Business Services departments and is responsible for corporate governance of all operating entities. Julian is a qualified Finance and Project Management professional who is passionate about leadership, strategy, and project commercialisation. He has 20 years of national and cross-border experience across the construction, mining, offshore energy, hospitality and tourism sectors.

Shane has over 15 years’ experience in managing and advising on contracts for high profile construction and infrastructure projects. Legally qualified and experienced in acting for owners, builders and subcontractors, Shane takes a pragmatic and proactive approach to the management of contracts. With strong written and oral communications, he prioritises building transparent and trusted relationships with all project stakeholders to ensure the mutual successful completion of projects.

Sherize has over 10 years’ experience delivering end-to-end human resources and employee relations functions across a range of industries. She brings practical expertise in enterprise agreements, industrial relations, and complex employee relations matters, and has supported large, project-based construction teams, overseeing workforces of 200+ employees across multiple Tier 1 client projects. Sherize works closely with project and executive teams to deliver compliant, stable, and effective people outcomes across the full project lifecycle.
